The government submitted EU documents 6928/13, 6930/13 a 6931/13 to the Chamber of Deputies on 3/1/2013.

Committee for European Affairs decided on 5/23/2013 by resolution No. 324 to discuss the documents and appointed the member Mr. Marek Benda as rapporteur.

Committee for European Affairs at its 46th meeting on 5/30/2013 by resolution No. 326

1. welcomes the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing an Entry/Exit System (EES) to register entry and exit data of third country nationals crossing the external borders of the Member States of the European Union;

2. welcomes the Commission's efforts to improve the management of the external borders of the EU, including more effective fight against illegal immigration;

3. takes into account the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a Registered Traveller Programme (RTP);

4. approves the framework position of the government of the Czech Republic to the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a Registered Traveller Programme (RTP) from 22nd April 2013;

5. considers the establishment of a registered traveler program as an unnecessary financial burden in comparison with the benefits that the EU could bring this program;

6. takes ito account the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EC) No 562/2006 as regards the use of the Entry/Exit System (EES) and the Registered Traveller Programme (RTP);

7. demands on the Government of the Czech Republic to keep the Committee regularly informed of further progress and results of the examination of this legislative package within the EU institutions​
